Ice on Stora Värtan

Good weather conditions, weekend, and the proximity to populated areas of Stockholm lured comparatively many people out on the ice. One of the less common sights was definitely a shipwreck that was completely enclosed by ice. However, it is unlikely that the ship had a similar history as Shackleton’s Endurance. The more comforting sight were the ice yachts, which were sailing at surprisingly high speed on Stora Värtan.
