Ice on Vallentunasjön

Many thanks to those who know the ice and made me have a wonderful day on the frozen Vallentunasjön – igen: tusen tack till dem som gjorde det möjligt.

Sweden’s winters are known for the rather short days and the long nights. However, there is also a sunny side and I still wonder how I got so lucky to experience my first lesson on ice on Sweden’s frozen waters – ice is a much more fascinating topic than I ever thought. When sunny weather and almost perfectly flat ice meet, then the winter is more than welcome. Important disclaimer for the web: going on the ice is potentially dangerous and without someone who knows the ice an unjustifiable risk.
